Agronomist

Vasilis Mouselimis

Agronomist (M.Sc.), Quality and Production Organization Consultant, specializing in olive cultivation and viticulture. A graduate of the Department of Food Science & Technology at the Agricultural University of Athens (2001), he pursued studies in the Department of Business Organization & Management at the Athens University of Economics and Business, followed by postgraduate studies (2004) in the same field (M.B.A.).He is responsible for the quality production of olive oil from agricultural operations across all olive-growing regions of Greece. He participates in research programs focused on plant nutrition in collaboration with institutes and organizations in Greece and abroad. His interests center on applying research data related to climate change challenges and the corresponding applications of “smart” agriculture.Throughout his professional career, he has served as an adult educator in organic farming, a seminar facilitator on the organic nutrition of olive trees (oliveoilseminars.gr), an inspector of organic farming and processing (DIO, dionet.gr), president of the Social Cooperative Enterprise “A.G.R.O.” focused on environmental research (agroconsulting.gr), and a board member of producers and consumers of organicproducts (oikozoibiocorfu.gr). He has also been president of the Thesprotia Agronomists’ Association and a member of the Aegilops network for the protection of biodiversity and agriculture.He engages in international collaborations with research institutions and organizations, primarily in Northern Europe (SLU –Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala; DTI –Danish Technological Institute), and provides consulting services in Greece and abroad, mainly focused on enhancing the fertility of biosystems using environmentally friendly methods.
